Tips For Your First Class
While many of you are looking forward to participating in a bellydance class, there still are just a few helpful tips that should be considered before proceeding with a class:
- Make sure you not on a full stomach, wait at least 1 ½ after a meal before starting.
- Bring a bottle of water with you to avoid dehydration
- Most bellydance classes are taught bare feet. It is not recommended you wear socks; you can slip and injure yourself.
- Please wear comfortable and proper attire, no jeans, skirts, jackets, dressy pants and nothing too bulky.
- If you have a hip scarf, bring it in.
- Sufficient stretching. Make sure you are fairly warmed up, if it takes your body a long time, do some warm ups way before class.
- No talking! It can be very distractive. Please save your conversations for before and after class,be considerate of the instructor and other peers in the class.
Remember:
* A healthy diet, a healthy exercise plan, and a healthy mind
all contribute to a positive well being.*
